Heroku e' probabilmente la piattaforma piu' innovativa ma allo stesso tempo meno conosciuta della galassia Salesforce. Ovviamente disponibile in modalita' cloud, (PAAS - Platform as a service), Heroku e' stata sviluppata nel 2007 e supporta diversi linguaggi di programmazione per essere utilizzata come modello di sviluppo e distribuzione di applicazioni Web. Nel 2011 e' stata acquisita da Salesforce e successivamente arricchita con nuovi linguaggi di programmazione quali Java, Node.js, Scala, Clojure, Python, PHP, e Go, aggiunti al nativo Ruby.
